What this product is (in plain terms)
InkWell (Character Studio) is an AI-assisted drawing studio. You photograph hand-drawn cartoons. Each drawing moves through five steps: Original → Ink → Style → Description → Done. Artificial intelligence (AI) tools propose a clean inked version and a color style. You write any title, description, or tags yourself; InkWell does not generate text for you. Some features are being released gradually and may not be available on every account yet. You approve what you keep. Your work is private by default. There is no public gallery in the minimum viable product (MVP). Exports and sharing happen only when you start them.
What we collect
Account and contact
- Email address and password, if you sign up with email (password stored hashed, not in plain text)
- If you sign in with Apple, Google, or X: the name and email address that provider shares with us, plus an account identifier from that provider. We do not receive your password for those accounts. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email,” we receive Apple’s relay address instead of your real email.
- Display name or similar profile fields you choose to provide
- Account settings, preferences, and consent records (including acceptance of these terms and this policy, and your OpenAI consent, wording version 2026-10-08)
Content you create or upload
- Photographs and scans of drawings (Originals)
- Ink and Style versions, including ones you approve and ones you do not
- Titles, descriptions, and tags you write. InkWell does not write this text for you
- Character notes and ink revision notes you write
- Character sheets you create, and favorites you save. Favorites stay in your private library
- Silent share videos made from your images, if you create one
- Original drawings and generated images, stored on Cloudflare R2
- Share pages you create, and whether your Original is shown on them
- Version history and approval records tied to your work
Credits, purchases, and billing metadata
- Credit balance and ledger events (grants, reservations, spends, releases)
- Purchase records for credit packs
- On the web, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive payment status and limited billing metadata (for example, last four digits or receipt identifiers where Stripe provides them). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- In the InkWell apps for iPhone and Android, credit packs are bought through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing, not Stripe. Apple or Google process the payment. We receive the purchase confirmation we need to add credits to your account. We do not receive your card number. Those purchases are final. Credits do not expire. Refunds of those credit packs are handled by Apple or Google.
- Printed products (character sheets and stickers) are available now on the website. The InkWell apps for iPhone and Android take the same orders and pay with Stripe. If you order one, we store the recipient’s name and shipping address and send them to Stripe and to Printful so the order can be made and shipped. We also store your email on the order for your receipt. That email is not sent to Printful.
Technical and usage data
- Product events tied to your account and stored in our own database: signed up, character created, character sheet previewed, checkout started, and purchased. With those events we store whether you were on the web, iOS, or Android, whether the screen was mobile or desktop, the page that referred you, and campaign tags if a link included them. We do not send these events to an ad network. The app does not include a third-party analytics SDK, and we do not show ads.
- We do not store your IP address, your device or browser type, your app version, or diagnostic logs. We use an IP address only in the moment to slow repeated waitlist signups and reports, and then we discard it.
- Cookies or similar storage needed for sign-in sessions and security
Support communications
- Reports you send in the app about an AI image or a share page. A report is a reason plus an optional note. We store it, email it to help@mywurdz.com, and review it. There is a help page in the app. There is no separate support inbox inside the app.
- Messages you email to legal@dellpine.com or help@mywurdz.com
Waitlist
If you join the waitlist on mywurdz.com, we store your email address, the time you signed up, and the page that referred you. We do not store your IP address with your signup. We use this only to tell you when InkWell opens. You can ask to be removed any time at legal@dellpine.com.
We do not require you to upload government ID for ordinary use of the MVP.
How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Create and secure your account
- Run the studio pipeline (store stages, show before/after review, keep version history)
- Send drawings and descriptions to OpenAI only to create or check images for a request you start, and only while your OpenAI consent is on
- Check uploads and generated images with automated moderation
- Manage credits, purchases, orders, and receipts
- Review reports, and take down a share page or hide an account’s shares when needed
- Provide support and respond to legal or safety requests when required
- Protect the service against abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- Improve reliability and product quality using aggregated or de-identified signals where practical
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not upload your private Original drawings to advertising pixels or ad networks for interest-based advertising.
We do not publish your drawings to a public gallery. Sharing happens only when you start it.
AI providers and other processors
To create and check images, we send relevant drawings and the descriptions you write to OpenAI through its API. OpenAI is a processor for that work. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models. At sign-up you agree to this, under consent wording version 2026-10-08. You can withdraw that consent on the Account page. Withdrawing stops new AI actions. Providers may change as the product evolves. When they process content for a job you request, they act as processors for that purpose under their terms and our agreements with them.
Other infrastructure we use at a high level:
- Vercel (hosting for this website and related edge services)
- Supabase (accounts and the database)
- Cloudflare (R2 storage for original drawings and generated images)
- Resend (transactional email, such as order receipts and report messages to help@mywurdz.com)
- Stripe (credit packs on the website, and printed-product payments)
- Printful (printing and shipping)
- OpenAI (image generation and automated moderation, through the API)
- Apple and Google (sign-in, and credit-pack billing in the InkWell apps for iPhone and Android)
- X (sign-in)
These companies process data to provide their services. We configure them for our product needs. Review their own privacy notices for how they handle data as service providers.
Who can see your work
- You, when signed in to your account
- Dellpine staff with a need to know (for example, support, security, or abuse review), under access controls
- Processors listed above, only as needed to run the service or complete a request you start
- Anyone with a share link, for drawings you choose to share. Share pages are off until you turn one on. They are not listed or searchable on InkWell, and your Original is hidden unless you choose to show it. Printed Character Model Sheets carry a QR code to the share page, so anyone who scans one can view it.
- Reports. If you report an AI image or a share page, we review the reason and any note you add. We can take down a share page or hide an account’s shares.
- Nobody else by default. Your library is private. There is no public gallery.
If you download, share, or print your work, those copies and links can travel wherever they are sent. We cannot control third-party apps or people you share with.
Ownership and AI outputs (privacy angle)
You keep ownership of drawings you upload, subject to the Terms of Service. AI outputs are proposals. They become part of your project when you approve them. We process uploads and outputs to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your Originals for our own catalog or advertising.
More detail on intellectual property and licenses sits in the Terms of Service.
Retention
We keep account data and your library while your account is active.
When you delete an account or ask us to delete specific content, we remove or de-identify personal data and associated media within a documented retention window (target: within 30 days for primary deletion, with backup copies aging out on a longer backup cycle). We may retain limited records required for law, fraud prevention, accounting, or dispute resolution (for example, purchase receipts and print or tax records, without your drawings and without your name, shipping address, and email).
Failed AI jobs that never deliver a usable result should not permanently consume a credit. Reservation release is a product rule described in the Terms. Related ledger entries may remain for audit.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
In product:
- Downloads: in the app you can download a single image or a character sheet. A full export of your whole library is not available yet. Until it is, you can email legal@dellpine.com and ask about your data
- Account deletion: delete your account and associated library content, subject to the retention window above. In the app, go to Account → Delete account. See how to delete your account for step-by-step instructions
By email: write to legal@dellpine.com with the email on your account. We may need to verify it is you before acting.
If you use the service from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions, Dellpine Solutions Inc. is the controller of personal data described here. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) / California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” as those terms are defined in that law. We state that we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly understood for this product. You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.
Children and age
This is not a Kids app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, COPPA). If you are under 13, do not create an account.
The service is intended for users 13 and older. See the Terms of Service for the binding age rule.
If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies or local storage needed to keep you signed in, protect sessions, and remember basic preferences. The InkWell app does not include an advertising SDK or a third-party analytics SDK, and we do not use your drawings for ads. You can clear cookies in your browser. Doing so may sign you out.
Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to a small product: encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access-controlled storage, and server-side secrets kept off the client. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you and regulators as required by law.
International transfers
Dellpine is based in the United States. Processors may store or process data in the U.S. or other countries. If you use the service from elsewhere, you understand your information may be transferred to the U.S., which may have different privacy rules than your home country. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards with processors.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice (for example in-app or by email) when practical. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy, except where local law requires a different approach.
